Visiting Akko: Living Word, Brotherly Unity, and Renewal

We are eager to share our warm memories of our visit to the ancient city of Akko on July 31.
Heading to a Fellowship Gathering
At the invitation of the local “New Life” church, the entire community of our home “Bait Ham Hesda” went on a guest visit.
Our Creator constantly takes care of us, leaving no room for discouragement or gloom. Knowing that the service would be followed by a potluck meal, we were excited to contribute. Our brothers took on the culinary mission and cooked a huge cauldron of flavorful homemade pilaf.
Exultant Worship and the Power of the Word
We always respond to such invitations with open hearts, just as we love hosting guests ourselves. For us, it is vital that the Good News reaches every searching soul.
The service proved to be deeply moving and inspiring. Everyone’s heart was especially touched by the musical worship—loud, majestic, and harmonious praise that truly lifted our spirits Heavenward!
Heartfelt Dinner and Delicious Fellowship
After the service concluded, informal fellowship with the members of the “New Life” congregation began. Gathering around tables filled with delicious treats, we enjoyed an amazingly warm and genuine atmosphere.
That evening, no one left empty-handed—neither in spiritual edification nor in physical refreshment. Our pilaf was a huge hit! Moments like these bind us together better than any words, reminding us what a joy it is to be one Christian family.
Hearts Open for a Fresh Start
Our main takeaway from this trip is profound gratitude to the Lord for His patience and grace. He is re-teaching us how to build relationships, trust, and love as if we were taking our very first steps.
Every brother in our home carries a past of trying to live life on his own terms, apart from God. Yet today, walking hand in hand with Jesus Christ, we are opening our hearts to His teachings step by step. We experience firsthand that God never walks away; He provides both the strength and a genuine chance to rewrite our lives with a clean slate.
